Chevron Texaco
The Material Movement System at Chevron Texaco's Sakra Island plant includes three main functions: Tank Gauge Calculation, Plant Inventory System, and Material Loading/Discharge Control. The Tank Gauge Calculation system computes mass in metric tons and cubic meters based on user input. The Plant Inventory System manages issues and receipts of materials in the warehouse, handling both liquid and solid materials, while the Material Loading/Discharge Control ensures efficient scheduling and prevents contamination during loading and unloading.
Developed using PowerBuilder Enterprise 6.0 and Oracle 7.3, the system enhances inventory management, generates performance measurement reports, and reduces manual errors. The system was later upgraded to PowerBuilder 7.0 and Oracle Database 8i for improved functionality and efficiency.
